LIC wants to keep the valuation between Rs 8 trillion and Rs 10 trillion. The Government of India can sell up to 5 to 10 percent of its stake in LIC as part of its disinvestment target. The government may also allow foreign direct investment in LIC to attract individual investors to the country.
